Jayman: Coast to Coast? Yes, a huge fan. It just isn't the same without Art Bell, though. He helped get me through a very rough patch in my life and opened my mind to possibilities that I would never have imagined. We have been fed so many misconceptions by the church growing up, including pcychic abilities as being 'evil'. I am overjoyed to have been awakened. Have a great weekend, Cathi!

Just Checking In

  • Mood: tired
  • Music: just noise on tv
  • Weather: snowy
  • Thought: where is everyone these days?
I don't have too much to say because I have been quite busy.  I've been updating my web page and let's see...I am back in French, likely for my last session since it's been nearly a year of this one month on, one month off stuff.  I have signed up for my next university course, Computers and Human Experience.  It officially starts Dec. 1st but I have my books and have started my reading.  I began and gave up on Nanowrimo this year because between French and everything else I'm just really short of time this month.  Next year I promise.  The idea is there, but I'm really too scattered to even try so I got as far as the first 800 words and thought, eh, maybe, but realistically no.

Things on the home front are the same pretty much, no news on a new job for the kids' father, and as Christmas comes closer I don't know what we're doing or how we're doing it.  I've been doing some odd hours cleaning.  Not glamourous I know, but what can I do?  Budgets were set years ago and not followed and I simply need to not depend on others even if I'm supposed to. This at least pays for my parking.

The one person I can count on is Jim who is working two jobs too but still, it's hard.  I can't do everything I should for son but perhaps that's much as what can be expected with a child on the autistic spectrum in Ontario.  We did get his big report done and it was very much worth it; there should be some changes in his school environment but how much that will improve his day to day experience remains to be seen.

We are keeping fingers crossed on Jim's citizenship coming through soon, it's getting close to time we should know for sure   .

Beyond that, well, wish me luck on my eventual French language testing, and on my new course.  And, if there is ever a hope of me ever winning the lottery or publishing a best seller or something soon, that would be good too.  Right now I'm so tired with son's school nonsense and the other pressures I literally pray every night to have the means to stay home and study and be here, even home schooling if necessary, if not then to be close at hand.  But alas, it would need prayer and a miracle for me to do that, so yeah, a sabbatical for a few years just isn't possible without that.  Oh well, we can dream can't we?

Happy shopping if you're into that, and for those alone in this season or missing someone you love, please know there are other days in the year; be kind to yourself and with any luck your next year will be better, you have to have faith in yourself.

Cathi
